It’s best to check and know the condition of your car tires, especially now that the rainy season is fast approaching.
It’s risky to drive with bad/worn tires in the rainy season. Because when you drive on the water, the tire can glide on the water because there’s little or no traction. ( which may lead to brutal accidents ).
Another risk is driving your car on a muddy road. During rainy seasons the road tends to get muddy and slippery, so if you drive on these roads with bad/worn tires, then you’re signing your death certificate. It’s not only that you can die, you also put other road users’ lives at risk. And if you happen to survive, think about the damages you’ll have to pay fines you’ll pay the government. You could lose your car too. So why not save yourself all the risks and replace your tires with new ones.
How to know if your tires are bad
Center Wear: Worn thread only down the middle of the tire. See image 1 below.

Shoulder Wear: The inside and outside edges of your tires are worn, but the center remains in good shape. See image 2 below.

Feathering: Tread blocks are shaped like slopes in a sideways direction, rounded on a side with sharp edges. See image 3 below.
Heel-Toe Wear: Tread blocks are shaped like slopes but run from front to back, leading-edge is smooth, and trailing edge is sharp. See image 3 below.
Scalloped Edges: A series of alternating hills and valleys. See image 3 below.
Outer-Edge Wear: Outside shoulder of the tire is noticeably more worn. See image 3 below.

Inner-Edge Wear: Treadwear is confined to just the inner edges of the tire. See image 4 below.

Flat Spots: The tire has mainly normal tread with noticeable smooth spots. See image 5 below.

Causes and Remedies of bad/worn tires
Center wear: the tire is overinflated.
Shoulder wear: add more air – under-inflated.
Feathering: check your alignment.
Heel-toe wear: rotate your tires more often.
Scalloped edges: check your shocks and suspension components.
Outer edge wear: slow down in the corners.
Inner edge wear: check for excessive negative camber or toe-in.
Flat spots: check your brakes.
